Our work outside the Alpaca Pan Peru Project

Pan Peru has been around for the past 16 years, and as such, we have managed to extend our project portfolio to cover different social issues in rural Peru. As part of our Education initiative, we built and equipped a library for the students in the rural Peruvian village of Pampas Grande.

At the early stages of the pandemic, our staff implemented safety regulations to ensure the students that visited the library followed the guidelines provided by the authorities. Our safety regulations included mandatory face covering, social distancing, and hand-washing.

Last August, we had to temporarily close the libraries to prevent the spread of the Covid 19 virus in the community. However, our team In Pampas Grande continues to help students with printing and delivering school assignments and class materials. We also offer technical assistance with the online classes to the families in the communities. Students that need help send their inquiries to our WhatsApp number.

We are hopeful that the library will welcome back students in the future. But for now, the community's safety is our uttermost priority.
