Alpaca Pan Peru is an organization developed in partnership with Pan Peru to assist rural women with marketing their handmade alpaca clothes. Alpaca Pan Peru seeks to engage customers within the United States and abroad to help these women have a platform in which to generate additional income for their families. 100% of the proceeds will go to these women who live below the poverty line, without access to running water and electricity.
Materials Used: Our garments are made of 50% Alpaca fleece for all colors, except for our blue-colored garments which are made of 15% Alpaca fleece.
Production Time: It generally takes our women weavers ten days to make a sweater, two days to make a scarf and one day to make a hat.
Pan Peru is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that improves the quality of life of the undeserved in Peru. Founded in 2004, Pan Peru has built 8 libraries, 3 computer labs, and 7 greenhouses to help the local population. One of their programs is to equip rural women to become entrepreneurs by selling handmade alpaca clothes.
